Chronically Awesome

Chronically Awesome is a dedicated online community for people living with chronic illness, run predominantly by people living with chronic illness.

Our goal is to support chronic illness warriors with reliable information, guidance and discussion to help them become more resilient in mind and body – stronger, fitter, healthier, happier. From our life hacks to long-term programmes, everything at Chronically Awesome is specially curated to meet the unique needs of the members of our community.

We want our community to be diverse and inclusive. We are all different, we all experience our illnesses differently, sometimes hour by hour and day by day. Our aim is that our community will always be able to find what they need from us, no matter what kind of day they’re having or what challenges they face. Because while we’re one big amazing community, we’re not all the same! We also welcome friends, family and colleagues of people living with chronic illness – as well as professionals who serve them – who want to listen, learn and contribute to our mission.

Get moving with Chronically Awesome!

Since 2020 we’ve been developing an awesome platform of exercise and movement classes to help get our community fitter, stronger and more active.

We’ve now got more than 70 pre-recorded exercise videos on Patreon, specially made for our amazing community of chronic illness warriors for just £1 a month. Classes range from meditation and gentle yoga to kettlebell conditioning and pelvic floor yoga, so you’ll always find something that suits you, no matter the day you’re having. We’ve worked hard to make all of our classes accessible, appropriate and affordable – the ‘triple A’ standard we always work to. All the classes are designed by chronic illness sufferers, and recorded by highly qualified and experienced instructors.

Our classes are open to all, no matter your fitness or strength level. They’re about doing what we can each day, and celebrating showing up for ourselves. All classes are 30 minutes but you don’t have to stay for the whole class, and you choose whether you have your camera off or on. Book online up to six weeks in advance with no penalties for cancellation, just let us know so we can refund your class cost.
