Jo Betterton trained as a nurse and social worker and has worked in NHS and Social Care settings ranging from developing shared care services for substance misusers and supporting the development of primacy care teams in London. As part of the NHS London Leadership Academy, Jo continues to work with primary care workforce and patient/citizen leaders to support the aspirations of the Fuller Stocktake to move from what’s the matter with you to what matters to you.

Jo hopes to use her experience and connections to support the work of Pain UK to raise awareness of the issues and strengthen the voices of those living with pain.
