Becky Pollard is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, and a qualified Business Finance Professional. While in practice (for over 20 years) she equally split her time over the years in financial audit, corporate finance, and in quality and risk management. She has now moved on to work in industry and is enjoying a really interesting role in a company at the forfront of speech recognition technologies and AI/machine learning.

Becky’s experiance with pain started after giving birth to her children exacerbated her symtoms of Joint Hypermobility Syndrome (JHS). Although she is now able to walk unaided again she expects that pain is going to feature in her world for the rest of her life. It was in looking for ways to cope with this chronic pain that she discovered Pain UK and subsequently found that she could add to the support others get from the charity by volenteering as a trustee and treasurer.

She lives with her husband, two children and a collection of cats, birds and fish at her home in rural Cambridgeshire.
